By downloading, installing, or using KnowHouse, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.

  • Password (encrypted and stored securely by Firebase Authentication; we never see it)

  • Household/family identifier (familyId)
  • User role within your household (Admin or Member)
  • Chosen avatar style

Usage Information

  • Tasks (ToDos) you create, assign, accept, decline, and complete
  • Deadlines and completion timestamps
  • Task categories and descriptions
  • Household instructions (how-tos) you create or edit
  • Points earned from completed tasks and your contributions per category
  • Household assignments and relationships
  • Leaderboard rankings and statistics
  • Task category preferences and settings

Communication Data

Core Application Functionality

4. Firebase Services

KnowHouse uses Google Firebase services to provide our app. Firebase processes your data according to Google's terms.

Firebase Authentication

  • Manages your login credentials securely
  • Stores encrypted password information
  • Handles user authentication and session management

Cloud Firestore

  • Stores all household and task data
  • Maintains your account information
  • Enables real-time data synchronization across devices

5. Data Retention

Active Account Data

  • User account information is retained until you delete your account
  • Household and task data is retained as long as your household exists

Tasks

  • Completed tasks are automatically deleted 30 days after their deadline
  • Unfinished tasks are automatically deleted once their deadline has passed
  • Task history prior to deletion is not retained

Account Deletion

  • You can delete your account at any time in the app under Profile → Delete Account
  • If you can no longer access the app, you can request deletion as described at https://getknowhouse.com/delete-account
  • When you delete your account, all associated data is deleted from our systems

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Within Your Household

  • Your username, avatar, task, point, and ranking data is shared with other members of your household (family members)
  • Each member of a household can see task assignments, deadlines, instructions, and leaderboard standings

No Third-Party Sharing

  • We do not sell your personal data
  • We do not share your data with third parties outside your household
  • We do not use your data for marketing or advertising

Legal Requirements

  • We may disclose your information if required by law, legal process, or government request
  • Protection of our rights, privacy, safety, or property
  • Prevention of fraud or criminal activity

Our website getknowhouse.com is hosted by Cloudflare. It does not use cookies, analytics, advertising, or tracking. Apple EULA Minimum Terms Compliance

For iOS users, this Privacy Policy complies with Apple's App Store Review Guidelines and minimum EULA terms:
